Labelling a contract

When a contract is uploaded, Robin AI’s machine learning algorithm will label many of the clauses contained in a contract. This makes the contract easily searchable — you can simply find contracts that have the label that you’re looking for.

However, sometimes you would want to label your own contracts. To label a contract:

  1. Open the contract from the Query contract hub or from the Query results page.
  2. You will be taken to the Query contract editor.
  3. Highlight the bit of text you would like to label.
  4. An Add Clause Label button will appear.
  5. Click the button.
  6. Search for the clause label you would like to apply to your highlighted text. It could be something like “Term” or “Indemnity”. (Not seeing a label you need? Follow these steps).
  7. Check the box to the left of the label you would like to apply to the clause.
  8. The label is now applied to the clause.

You can view all of the labels for a contract’s clauses in the left margin of the contract. Simply hover over the gray label icon to see what label has been applied to the clause.
