Drafting a contract

Robin AI allows you to draft standard contracts with ease using a template. Templates are basically contracts that can only have certain areas of them edited in certain ways. Templates work by allowing anyone to answer a few questions about their contract and have the contract automatically populated for them in realtime.

To draft a contract:

  1. Access the Draft module at app.robinai.co.uk/draft.
  2. Click the Create New Draft Contract button in the header.
  3. Select the contract type of the contract you’re drafting.
  4. Select the template for that contract type. Don’t see the template you’re looking for? Reach out to support@robinai.co.uk and we can create one for you.
  5. Give your contract a name.
  6. Click Create Contract.
  7. You will be taken to the Draft contract editor. Within the editor, you will see a preview of the contract being drafted. You will also see a sidebar with various fields to fill out.
  8. Fill out all of the fields in the sidebar form. Draft works by automatically generating your contract in real-time as you fill out the form. Single words or entire paragraphs might be updated based on your answers. A key advantage to Draft is that it only allows you to edit the contract via the form — there is no way to edit random parts of the contract.
  9. When all of the required fields have been filled out, the Download button will be enabled. You can now download the contract as a .docx file and send it to your counterparty.
  10. You may notice that the Ready for Negotiation button will also be enabled. Clicking this button will move the contract from Robin AI’s Draft module to our Review module. In Review, the entire contract can be edited. If you really need to make edits to the contract outside of the template, you can do so in Review.
